Was going to try to do a trifecta today hitting up the parades in Steveston, GI, and Canada Place/downtown but was too slow out the door. Parking in Steveston is brutal if either you don't get there early or can park at a friend's house. Saw there was a shuttle service this year but was too lazy to try it.

Started out at Hastings Park which was supposed to have some kind of Canada Day event going on. Was pretty busy but nothing really Canada Day'ish so we ditched.

Got to GI which was busy but was surprised parking was pretty easy to come by in our favourite spots near Lobsterman/Keg area. So much stuff going on all over the island.

Watched the parade downtown which was pretty decent. Got some decent elevated "seats" on a wall in front of the Qube condo.
Walked down to English Bay to watch the sunset afterwards.

We were going to end the night watching the Canada Place fireworks by the 9 o'clock gun but they blocked the perimeter road. Ended up just going home since it's a "school night" anyways. Will be better prepared next year and bring our bikes in the trunk.

All in all, a gorgeous day in Vancouver, activities happening everywhere, and positive energy all around.
