I was in a similar situation about 2 weeks back. In fact, I had a flight booked returning from Berlin TXL to Heathrow on the 20th. However, that was the last flight back from TXL, and some unexpected issue required me to return a bit sooner. The Ticket Prices were too expensive, so I looked at BAEC Redemption on the 17th, and there were no redemptions available for the 20th. The same story on the 18th. But many were available for the 20th when I looked again on the 19th. In the morning of the 19th, there were at least 3 redemption seats available for each of the available flight options (There were three choices) if that helps.

Essentially, Avios Redemption via BAEC from TXL appears the day before the flight from my experience that week. They rarely, if ever, have any before then, but on the day before the flight, many begin appearing. So good luck! Hope everything turns out fine.
