Reading that article, I don't actually see anywhere where DL says they are going to try to get more share of the business market by offering NON-STOP flights.
Exactly. While it's nice to dream up new hypothetical routings, I can't see DL doing anything more than new advertising and perhaps retiming the NRT flight, which itself doesn't make sense because the horrible timing is designed to meet the NRT banks.
Personally, I found the AF timing for CDG-SIN to be significantly better than the DL timing (albeit with a long layover eastbound if you don't need to stop in Europe), and if you can't afford J then AF W is a reasonable compromise for that much travel.
