The air traffic control was bad as usual so the depature had been delayed for an hour. The captain was trying his best to make up the time we lost on our way to Hong Kong but then we were notified that due to bad weather in Hong Kong, we had to diverge to Shenzhen and land there.

Everyone was like "Uh....." when hearing this announcement...

My connecting flight had been scheduled at 15:20 and it was already 13:50...I felt like I would have to change my schedule and subsequent flight for sure...

When the airplane started to descend and finally approached the soil...as we all believed that this was Shenzhen and then we heard the voice again "welcome to Hong Kong" and yes it's Hong Kong. Everyone was then like "Wow...." Hard to believe!

Later on the in-flight service manager told us the captain had made several attempts previously without success, but his last try was just about 20 minutes before landing and he had got it approved and sucessfully executed...

Gosh! I have been arrived at Singapore on time. But it is actually interesting to think back what would happen if we really landed at Shenzhen...will there be a bus to take us to HKIA directly? Will there be any visa issues?

Anyway, it's good to be at your destination on time~
