Haven't got an Amex card at present so won't miss out there.

Was going to merge 4 for a £7 charge which is the same as those £7 off £50 spend coupons so no money lost and 840 Avios per £100.
Handy for ET trips to JER/AMS etc at around £65-75 a time or the upgrade costs (or TP runs)
