Reward travel to Montevideo, Asunción, and Santiago de Chile
I like to travel to Montevideo, Asunción, and Santiago de Chile next January. In the past I have flown to EZE and taken the buquebus to Uruguay (my main destination is close to Colonia). I like to try it via MVD this time. On the aeroplan website there are no Tam flights shown. However, the ANA tool shows availability. Would the following work:
YFC – YYZ (Y, AC)
YYZ – GRU (J, AC)
GRU – MVD (J, JJ) Stop
MVD – GRU (J, JJ)
GRU – ASU (J, JJ) open jaw
EZE – SCL (J, AC) Stop
SCL – YYZ (J, AC)
YYZ – YFC (Y, AC)
Would the MVD-GRU-ASU be considered back tracking?
Alternatively, I could book:
YFC – YYZ (Y, AC)
YYZ – GRU (J, AC)
GRU – MVD (J, JJ) open jaw
EZE – SCL (J, AC) Stop
SCL – YYZ (J, AC)
YYZ – YFC (Y, AC)
Then I would have to pay for a more direct flight with AR (MVD-AEP-ASU-EZE).
I know, I can call aeroplan and get information, but I like to hear your suggestions --- maybe you had to deal with a similar situation.
Thanks
