The GS does have newly renovated premier rooms and suites that are lovely. I prefer them over the IC HK's harbour suites, though IC HK's view and service can't be beat.

Grand Stanford generally have a higher occupancy rate thus IHG pay more to compensate the award stay in GS than the IC Hong Kong which hardly achieve 95% occupancy rate. The magic occupancy rate which IHG needs to pay ADR rather than set rate.
