I didn't answer the second part of your question. It is hard to say if OZ will have QS installed on the older 777s. Right now, the ORD route has the newest 777 that has both First Suite seats in First class and QS seats in Biz. But that plane will be switching to the JFK route sometime mid July 2013. I think the ORD route will then get the old 3 class 777s, which is what I assume you are seeing on the online seat selection. I think the old 3 class 777s have neither QS nor AVOD ife. It isn't the end of the world, and at least the service is typically top notch.

I have read online on FT that these older 777s are not able to be upgraded without significant cost so it may just stay in the same configuration until they are replaced in the future with the A350s. Too bad really because having an inconsistent hard product gets passengers confused as to what the plane will or will not have. Also, the occasional equipment swap can end up disappointing customers who may have been looking forward to QS seats. With first deliveries of the A350 looking to be around 2017, it will be another 5 years of the same cabin for now.
