I'm sure if you measured it, the walk would be about 400 meters longer from the Sheraton to the B gates. Maybe that's not a lot, but it is something. And of course if it is the E or F gates, then there's not much of a walk at all from the Mercure.
And I'd call a difference of €170 per night an awful lot. But maybe if you are rich it's nothing to worry about. Not everyone has Starpoints and C&P isn't available every night.
