Oh, come on. OP says he had a bad OBL on this flight. THat happens, but very rarely. The service is and always has been the bright spot.

Food is certainly more hit or miss, as it's airplane food after all.

As to the OP's original question, yeah. It's too bad he had such a disparity. Transcons are considered "premium" routes, and ZRH, while a BE route, doesn't service a Skyteam hub and isn't dramatically competitive like LHR. It'll get the flat beds, but doesn't have them yet.
