I'm in general a fan of the RC FLL and have stayed here a few times - en famille and solo. I find the rooms comfortable. I've been in their RC suite and regular rooms. The club room at this property is one of the best Ritz clubs in the US.

If you do stay there and are a steak fan, and your schedule permits, take a walk up the street to Steak 954 for dinner one night. One of the top steak establishments I've ever been to outside of NY.
It will be me+spouse, only 2-3 nights, hotel will probably just be a base for the Fort Lauderdale boat show, don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel, and yes, we are looking for something lively. Also, thank you for the restaurant recommendation. I'll be sure to check it out!
