I got the upgrade today!
When I bought the latitude fare ticket shortly before making the first post on this topic, business class availability was J9C5D0Z0R0 on AC 48 departing HNL on Aug 25.

Shortly thereafter, one seat was sold - so availability became J9C4... I believe that remained until last night.

This morning, the availability was:

J9 C7 D6 Z2 R0 Y9 B9 M9 U9 H9 Q9 V9 W3 S0 T0 L0 K0 N9 G3 P0 E0 A0

This afternoon AC sent me an email notice I got upgraded. The availability was:

J9 C6 D5 Z1 R0 Y9 B9 M9 U9 H9 Q9 V9 W3 S0 T0 L0 K0 N9 G3 P0 E0 A0

My upgrade came from C/D/Z class - cutting down their availability by one.

It would have been more logical to give me the upgrade first?, and then go to the final availability of the day?
