I've only seen this with the airbus twins and a plane swap, never with a 757. Definitely make sure you get downgrade compensation. You will probably have to deal with this at the gate.

I had it happen on a 757, with no irrops for 2 days prior to the flight. Not sure how F got so oversold (GA claimed they were over by 3), but I'm sure it was some combination of SHARES, out-of-sync systems, and TODs.
