It's not so much that I'm worried about my trip now. It's that I am now aware that the possibility, however remote, exists that your confirmed, ticketed seats could be summarily canceled prior to check-in. I was blissfully unaware until this thread. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
Don't take this too personally, but I'd say "blissfully ignorant." Never heard of involuntary denied boarding? Happens with some frequency; voluntary denied boarding happens with much more frequency. Similar with I/V downgrades.
