I'm no expert on them but aircraft smoke hoods need to meet standards. I can say no more than that. My point would be to anyone wanted to buy one - that it was suitable for aviation use. In addition they offer eye and heat protection
Draeger hoods are a common fit on aircraft for crew use.
Under normal circumstances, on the ground, you would hope to be out in 90 secs anyway. Smoke hoods are only good for 15-60 minutes so in the air they might help.
