Not entirely true, there is a (very small) chance of an equipment change. Lets say your flight to DEN has an extreme delay, they might pull a different plane to make that flight from DEN.
When booking things like this, NOTHING is foolproof and Murphys Law likes to rear its head...

Actually ONCE I had this on a through PHX flight. Wiithout being delayed during the first leg, they told us at PHX, that we have to change flights.
Oh well, I take my chances:-) Simply I could not resist the temptation.
