You could easily do BOS-YZF with a stopover in Edmonton for the wedding - it's 25k points, availability can be difficult though.

Yellowknife is great, although Whitehorse has mountains. I'm not sure how October is northern lights wise but, it's a bit of a toss from either city, you need a bit of luck to see them on the days you're around!
