Hi all,
Will be returning to Edmonton (from Boston) this October for a friend's wedding and using Aeroplan points to book. Looking to incorporate a bit of leisure travel, and have a hankering to head up north as I have never been. Your help would be MUCH appreciated...
1- I'm thinking either Yellowknife or Whitehorse. My primary interest for this trip is to do things in nature that a city slicker like myself don't get to do (i.e., see the northern lights), and experience the north. Anyone have suggestions for which city to check out, or another city to consider? Or any things I have to do in either city?
2- If I am making the reservation on Aeroplan points, is there a way to maximize my points use? I'm flying BOS-YEG... any way of making YEG a layover as I fly into Yellowknife or Whitehorse? Or can I only do 3 one-way segments: BOS-YEG (one-way), then YEG-Yellowknife/Whitehorse (one-way), then Yellowknife/Whitehorse-BOS (one-way)?
3- Does it matter for my awards booking (if I have to do 3 one-way flights) if Yellowknife is a short-haul flight on Aeroplan points from Edmonton (

Thank you all for the thoughts...
