Something is clearly badly broken given the low number of LCC threads compared to the high number of LCC passengers. (
Ryanair is the 7th largest airline in the world by number of passengers carried.) I believe the miscategorization and subtitle-ization (LCC is not included in title) of the the LCC forum under Travel & Dining is the key driver of that brokenness.
At this stage, I would support the creation of a "Low Cost Carrier (Ryanair, Spirit, Air Asia, et. al.)" forum under the "Airline Programs" category. I'd love to see some discussion on what such a forum would be named.
As a separate discussion, I'd support moving ahead with renaming all the airline forums to match the airline name rather than the FFP and changing the "Airline Programs" category to "Airlines".
