I've heard that he travels on competing airlines to evaluate their product; but I noticed he sort of dodged the question: "Do you always fly coach, even on long-hauls to Asia?" to which he was only quoted as saying "I've done long-haul to Asia . . . I like to try to fly on the competition when I go long-haul." Maybe you can chalk it up to an oversight in editing for the article, but to me it sounds like he avoided disclosing whether or not he flies Y on long haul flights (my guess is no...).
