Be sure that you have registered for the Denver double points promo. It is under My Account|Snapshot. Towards the middle of the page you will see Promotions.

If you purchased tickets before registering, buy them again (if the fare increase is minor) after registering.

I have bought tickets between city pairs that had the double point promo, and it really pays off.
