Hang on. The police will want to know who was the driver of the vehicle if there is a speeding offence. It's not just a case of paying the fine. They will want to know who's licence to apply penalty points to and/or who to ban if applicable. I can't believe it's a case of just paying the fine on your CC and walking away.
The procedure varies from country to country. I was caught on a speed camera while driving a rental in New Zealand a few years ago. The rental company gave the police my name and address, and added a fee to my credit card. The NZ police then sent me the ticket through the post, two months later. No penalty points, I don't think the police can put points on a foreign license.
