*777# will check your "Promotion"
*777 should be a call to the automated system where you can check or change it (for a fee) & possible validity reset too, so be careful you don't lose time during a promotion switch.
As I understood, longer refill validities often meant higher per minute calling out charges, and shorter validity refills came with cheaper per minute calling rates.
