I have a need to visit LAX for an event on the 6th July. Below is my schedule on flights that suit on AA. The problem I have is the price! Is there any way I can book a KUP or YUP fare as the price quoted $1,167.77 seems pretty harsh. I can't see any way to source such a fare on the AA website.

Not to pile on, but it's June 25 and you're booking a transcon for what appears to be a one-day business trip for July 5 and you're not pleased that it's just under $600 each way in First Class?
Be glad it's not $1,500 each way. Or $2,000 or more each way. Airlines make their money from people who book short trips less than two weeks prior to travel. Under $1,200, round trip, in confirmed F is a bargain considering all the circumstances.
For some perspective, AA's average collected fare between JFK and LAX is just under $500 each way (not including any taxes), so your First Class fare quote is in line with that.
