Impossible? Mmm, the seats are often all taken (usually by people plonking bags on the spare seats), and there's a big WH Smith (or whatever it's called now) in the middle area to the left side (if exiting), it's near a departure zone too. So a lot of movement, If it's more than a 10 minute wait I'd send her up to Costas (a) because it would be impossible to miss her and (b) it is a lot more comfortable and less hassle.
The space is really very small between the domestic arrivals exit door and the staircase/escalator that goes down to international arrivals.
I struggle to see how anybody with their eyes open actively looking out for somebody could miss someone, given the relatively low volume of pax now using domestic arrivals.
