Piccadilly Line, bus, or minicab/blackcab are the main alternatives.

I don't think the HEx operator can easily acces buses, especially not in numbers sufficient to fully replace HEx timings.

The problem yesterday I believe was caused by copper cable theft, and affected more than just HEx/HConnect services.
