Okay, that's a really interesting report with some great pictures. Thanks!

Now more than ever I'm looking forward to my first TBIT experience in Dec. - for some reason I've always been in and out of T2, and once in T7. Now it actually looks like a nice place to depart from compared to the pictures I've seen before. It reminds me a lot of how LHR T2 was vs what the new T2 looks like it will be. It's got the same saw-wave roof design and big open central mall. Now all that's left is to see what the new *A lounge looks like and I'll be a happy flyertalker.

I also get what you're saying about the east-facing gates and just have to say that is both the most insane and brilliant idea I've ever seen in a terminal rebuild. Instead of doing the "half now, open it up, half later" they just built the whole thing at once and only need to tear down the old one to open it up. Crazy, and I love it.
