A lot of companies have negotiated rates that are set, so if Hertz is charging $100 a day, many of the corporate renters could be paying $50 a day. My company has these rates with National, so I know I can get a full size for $40 a day regardless of what rate they are charging.
Last night got into Orlando and Hertz was out of cars.. It was 2:30 am had to wait for an agent to show up. Once she showed up she informed myself and another colleague since Hertz was out of vehicles they would be giving us a car from Dollar.
Biggest issue I had was they didn't recognize the corporate agreement that the company I work for has. LDW and Fuel charges to name a few.
An hour later I was out the door. Great service but the agent from Hertz and Dollar sat their arguing on how to handle the inconsistencies.
Hopefully they will work on this going forward as if they are one company they should build into their system a way for the customer not to be the one being done wrong.
