I was going to say $5000 is good for originating in the US. Under $4000 is good for originating in BKK. You can get cheaper still elsewhere in SE Asia, such as ex-SGN.
I am looking at JFK-ICN-REP with KE in C for late December. The fare is about $2500 one way. I guess I should go for it as it seems to be considered a reasonable good fare.
