Hi

I'm booked this weekend for 5 nights at the Hilton Ramses - non refundable rate. As I work as a teacher at an international school I work with some lovely Egyptians who are very concerned that I will be travelling solo (I'm also female) during this period of unrest. Even my tour guide has suggested I change hotels. I have emailed Hilton and waiting for them to get back to me, but do you think they would look favourably at my request to transfer my booking to another of their properties in Cairo (more expensive - and pay the difference of course)? I can't afford to cancel and rebook and lose the amount I have already paid and of course this is something that isn't covered by travel insurance (which I do have). I'd hate to go and not be able to get out of my hotel, which appears to be right in the middle of where all the big demonstrations are planned.
