That is what I know.
I am guessing order of events... reached Atl, waited at gate.. missed flight due to change of gate... he called his aunt.. she said not feeling well don't come.. then his plans were to return to Roc.
Also, according to the story, he found out the gate was changed by talking to the gate agent.
So...he had to walk up to the gate agent, and still not realize (via the giant sign behind her) that he was at the wrong gate.
Either he is:
1) EXTREMELY incompetent
2) Blind (literally, blind, with a walker/dog)
3) Lying
Also, if he didn't want the flight to Ft Myers, then why is he so upset? If anything, this thread should be titled, "My friend got extremely lucky...he missed his flight, only to find out he didn't really want to get on the plane, anyway"
