For future reference if this happens to anyone just call the local courier, BA wouldn't share the info but I found it easily enough through google.

Also, from now on I will be checking my baggage tags more closely. BA does this all the time and I've been fairly indifferent to it but my bags were under my partners name and his under mine even though when we checked-in it was abundantly clear which were which. As a result mine were the bags which were delivered and turned away last night.

Net net BA has been of no help, and as a committed BA flyer I'm thoroughly disappointed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I flew to Toronto 3 weeks ago with a 4 hour delay after the planes flaps were not working, but now I will be making claims for both of these flights now.
