I remember the time BA lost my bag on the way to YYZ (last time I have ever checked a bag with them) after a few days when the couriers phoned me saying they had it I went up to their place (it was in an industrial area east of the airport) and got it. I just couldn't be bothered waiting around and wondering if I would miss the delivery attempt anyway.
