I get it, but what RA did here was just a wonderful act of kindness. Instead of giving him kudos, some just have to squeeze in their personal agendas of complaints. What he did here might be what you call “common-sense business practice” but how many other CEO’s – airlines or otherwise – do you know that have done something so “common sense” similar? I don’t see anything comparable from Horton, Parker, Smisek, Kelly, etc.

No one is asking you to exalt him – feel as you choose – but is it really so difficult to separate the gentleman’s singular actions from your personal agenda?
I think " wonderful act of kindness" is overselling it a bit. He is a smart guy. I do not know what was going through his head at the time, but I would think it was along the lines of that if a woman got on the plane and then taken off due to a seat mix up, that happens a lot in WX situations, and someone tied that and him to the same flight that he could get roasted. It was an easy play really.... Hell, I think most of us would do it for someone if we had a jump seat Privs... It was a nice gesture, though.
