My friend who hardly ever flies was flying from ROC to FT. Myers with a stop in Atlanta.
He arrived plenty early and was sitting at the proper gate ( so he says) and by the time he thought he should be boarding he went up to ask and they told him that the gate had changed and he missed his flight.

He was not given another flight choice since his plans had changed due to his aunt calling him and telling him not to come down due to her being ill.

So with little experience he forked over $800 to get back to ROC.

He originally booked with a travel agent and will be contacting her.
Also what to do with the return flight portion of his itinerary?

What can he do now since he already paid for the return trip?
is he SOL
