Posting here in desperation and hoping for some advice.

I flew in to YYZ on BA99 yesterday June 22. We waited on our luggage in Toronto for about 2 hours because the hold of the 747 containing our luggage would not open.

The BA luggage reclaim agent in desperation (she was alone trying to handle 300+ frustrated passengers) handed out claim forms. These forms contained two pages, one page she (BA) kept and the other copy we had to hand in to customs. We left the airport with nothing but the baggage tags in hand as per instructions.

This morning i've been desperately trying to get info out of BA but they have no information, they keep asking for a file reference number which we were not given nor were any other passengers given it. Anyone on here know more or have any suggestions of how to proceed?
