Why confused? There is a meter and there is a regulation as to how that meter is supposed to function. If someone has tampered with it, whether an increase of 10% or 300%, it is wrong. Some people are willing to let 10-20% slide, some are not. Where do you draw the line? 50 extra is ok but 500 is not? How about 75? 100? 200? Some folks think we are silly for taking taxis as they find a 2300 thb hotel transfer quite reasonable. Everyone has their own perspective based on many factors.
