Most CC banks sell off bad debts to debt collectors. If the debt has been sold, the bank can not collect it. You will probably be hearing from the collection agencies and you usually can pay them off at a reduced amount. If you deal with them get everything in writing, they are sort of the bottom feeders of the financial world.
