Only $400? Was this international or domestic?


I would think time of departure would make a big difference.. For instance, maybe you could make an argument that the last flight of the night is the one most likely to be filled up by IROPS earlier in the day.. any thoughts on this?


Just some background - I think how I got to $3,000 is I kept asking the agents to rebook me on other flights that also happened to be oversold - they had to call some phone number to get special permission - and the only way I was able to do this was to change my routing (I went from EWRLHR to EWREDI to EWRMAN and then finally flew EWRLHR)
