Background: My Annual fee on CC is coming due and I am trying to find a reason to keep it.
My concern is that if there is only 1 MS OB Y seat and no returns available during the summer/ off season when it is 111 degrees here and few tourists want to come here what are the chances any will open up in January when flights operate at 98%.I know ONT is always an option but gas and parking for 5 days would more than offset the 7500 mile saving.I may book the 1 way award and pay for return.
It is interesting that there is ample space available after Sept 15. If I booked late Sept award now and got the reduced award rate then canceled the CC will they try to get me to add miles to the award or cancel it??
One last item... the fee to book this award has gone up from $25 to $35.
