It's much easier to find a taxi or car service at/near the Astoria station and almost no chance for hauling one at Willets Point - in case OP is running late/behind schedule - although traffic on the Grand Central Parkway toward LGA will not be all that smooth with the PM rush already underway in the afternoon.
Agreed on the N/Q option in the direction of Ditmars Blvd-Astoria, but you should get off the subway at the Astoria Blvd stop. Then, either grab the M60, or there should be a couple of black cars hanging around. $15, and you're at LGA in 10 mins, 15 max.
