Many US carriers have no IFE on domestic flights. Ditto for Europe. Lufthansa, for example, has no IFE on its intra-Europe flights - even if you pay more for business class (which, incidentally, has exactly the same 3-3 seats as economy, just a touch more seat pitch).

I would not be surprised if IFE/AVOD systems eventually disappear. So many people bring their own devices onboard now anyway. What would be nice would be for them to provide a USB or AC power outlet so you don't kill your batteries on a long flight.
