I'm glad you enjoyed your BA experience and have given an honest opinion on what you think are its strengths and weaknesses.

I'm sure a lot of people thought based on your first post that you'd already made up your mind that BA was going to be crap, so it's good that it was a decent experience.

You can blame Heathrow (no airside outdoor bit) or the UK government (they had the option to allow smoking in designated areas airside, but decided to not allow this) for your smoking issues.

Lounges: it's only recently that the quality of the catering in the lounges has dropped. The new catering firm started in May. Have a look on the lounge threads here to see what people think or visit baloungefood.com

Overcrowding can be a problem in the lounges at times. Unfortunately there's not much scope to make them larger. Did you use galleries north or galleries south?
