It's not an excuse. I churned $600 at a nearest OM. I can go a lot more, but I didn't. Oh, and this $600 is spread across 2 weeks.

I have the card. I'm waiting for my statement next week and see how things are. If I didn't have the card, I wouldn't know AP had been counted 5% as "Internet Purchase" like in the MR for the 'bonus'.

I don't understand why AMEX is taking this position...against only VR purchases if reports are correct...nothing on VISA/MC GC purchases @ groceries, drugstores & gas stations according to you and others. And, AMEX need to amend some of the terms for the rewards. It has to state AMEX reserves the right to give its users rewards line-by-line basis instead of depending on the MCC, AMEX reserve the right to reward its users.
