You can transfer, but it costs money. Go to the AA site and under AAdvantage there is buy/share miles; check the fees for sharing miles and can determine if it is worthwhile the cost

Depending on how many miles they have in each account and what you want to redeem for, you may be better off buying miles to top the account off and then redeeming directly from their accounts than paying the transfer fees
