I disagree on the food.

The food was better along with the food service experience. Meals in NZ First Class were generally more tasty, classy, larger and Kiwi than in today's BP. Nice details like using Temuka ceramics, glassware from NI designers and other Kiwiana touches were involved.

The cheese plates were better and had more variety. And the coffee was better.

The seats however were worse. I remembering always taking an extra carry-on to prop up the foot rest on those suckers.
