Just want to confirm if I understood something right. I had earned some Air Tran credits through Chase that had the two year expiry. If I transfer 16 credits to SW it will become a standard award. If I then transfer it back to AirTran using the two step method, will I get only one year expiry?

My point is that is there a situation when the two step method could reduce the expiry?
