I applied for the plat MC by using the 3rd link from the top in the wiki.
Don't remember where my application got stuck but I just got below message.
Din't call citi right after the application because it was mid night, so called citi next day(yesterday) but was told the system was down and could not retrieve my application.
Called today and was told my application was approved yesterday.
Confirmed the 40k miles/ $3k with the rep.
I have Citi AA exec MC since 2011 as well.
Thanks for the datapoint! You pushed me over the edge to go ahead and apply for the Plat MC with 40K for my wife, along with her Ink Bold app. A chat window popped up at the end of the Citi app, and 2 minutes later, moved some credit around and approved! So her AA cards are: Plat Visa 50K 12/2012, AMEX 50K 12/2012, Business Visa 50K 2/2013, and now Plat MC 40K 6/2013. All still open of course, and all living in a drawer since minimums were met.
