I'm a relatively small woman compared to you. I do One Bag traveling most of the time, but when I need more stuff I use an eBags Mother Lode 25 in bag that has easily replaceable wheels. So far so good and I've not broken any wheels on that bag, but they will send you new ones for free.

I wish this bag weighed less, but it is very well made.

I use your method of getting up stairs. This bag has 2 wheels so is not a 'cart' suitcase. I bought mine via eBags when they had a sale on ugly colors. Fine with me.
