Still a newbie, and I have never flown KLM.
I have read all of the threads on economy comfort. On my flight, all the seats are available because we aren't traveling until January 2014. It will be the 11 hour AMS-LAX non stop flight on the 747-400 combi. Some posts suggest that row 11d,e are good for legroom. My problem is that my husband has serious issues sitting near the restroom. I tried to bring up interior photos and prove to him it wasn't THAT close, but I didn't find too many clear photos specific to the distance from row 11 to the restroom. I was thinking of row 15d,e since they are in between the restrooms. We also like that the d,e section is just us two (as opposed to three seats).
The seats are $197 extra per person. I'm leaning towards paying extra for economy comfort. I wish I could pay the extra $87 for the economy seats with "extra legroom" but those are all really close to the restrooms.
Any thoughts?
